本日ご紹介するのは
Gibson Custom Shop 2003 Historic 1958 Les Paul Reissue BZF (Faded Tobacco Burst)

一見ただのレスポールに見えるかもしれません。確かに特別な機能などは一切ありません。

指板にはハカランダが使われてます。
でもハカランダだからってだけでこのブログに載ることはありません。

ではなぜ今日の一本に選んだか。
それはぼくがレスポールに欲しいと思う要素がたくさん詰まっているからです。

厚みのある’58ネック、ちょうどいいボディーの生鳴り、そして粘りのあるパワフルは中低域。
特にリアピックアップは「ああ、これこれ」って思っちゃいました。

ちなみにぼくは普段ほとんどフロントしか使いません。それでもこのリアは使いたくなります。

痛いハイはなく、それでいてピークの帯域がちょうどいいところで出てくれるからヌケはいい。

もちろんこちら、店頭にて販売中です。
でももし誰も手をあげなければ、もしかしたら最終的にはぼくの手元にきてしまうかもしれませんよ…

Hello friends!

My pick for today is…
Gibson Custom Shop 2003 Historic 1958 Les Paul Reissue BZF (Faded Tobacco Burst)

This one’s a darn cool guitar.
This might look like a regular Les Paul. And yeah, it doesn’t have any special functions or anything.

It’s got a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and yeah, that’s really cool.
But not all guitars with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard will make it on this blog.

Then why did I choose this one for today’s Staff Pick?
This thing’s got what I would look for in a Les Paul.

The thick ’58 neck, the perfect body resonance, powerful low mid-range and just a great buttery tone, especially on the rear pickup.

Now, I’m normally a front pickup type of guy, but this rear pickup is just killing.

No spiky treble, but the sonic peak is at just the right range, letting the notes cut through in the mix.

This one is up for grabs, and if no one raises their hand, who knows, this one my end up in mine.
