1986 Fender Japan TL’69-98 (Natural)

オーーール・ローーーズ・テレキャスターーーです！しかも人気のオイルフィニッシュですよ！ワシントン条約が改正された今となってはこれと同じものを作ろうとしたらなかなか大変…

重いことで知られるオールローズですがこの個体は4.03kgと比較的ライトウェイトですね。

 

音はいかに!

オールローズらしい伸びやかさといい具合の硬質さがあり、いい音です。その硬質さゆえの不思議な倍音感は他のギターでは出ない部分かなと思います。独特のサスティンも魅力的で、同じくらいのウェイトの他のギターと比較してもサスティンが長く感じます。楽器のトーンやボリュームを絞っていっても芯がある音なのでアンプと手元で音を作る方にはかなり楽しんでいただけるギターだと思います!

 

定番モデルながらも本数がかなり少ないオールローズモデル。

こちらの個体は製造から30年以上経っているにも関わらずコンディションもよく、いい楽器だと思います。

My pick for today is…

1986 Fender Japan TL’69-98 (Natural).

 

A Rosewood Telecaster from Fender Japan in natural oil finish. It’s going to be a hard building one of these now that Washington Treaty became stricter.

While Rose Teles are known to be back-breakers, this one weighs just around 8.9 lbs which is relatively light. It’s got the unique sustain and solidness, and the harmonic character and tone is a trademark of this model. Even if you had a guitar in a similar weight range, a regular Tele included, you wouldn’t quite get this kind of sound. You can roll off the volume or tone on the instrument and still get a nice clear, solid tone, so if you’re an amp-and-guitar-and-hands type of player, this one should be fun.

Though not a “limited run” model, they just don’t make very many of these. The one we have is more than 30 years old but still in an excellent condition. A great instrument indeed.
