とうとう梅雨に入ってきた感じですね… “弾きこもり”の時期ですね…眺めてて飽きない綺麗なギターなんてのも欲しくなる時期でしょう。

そんなわけで本日ご紹介するのはこちら!

2010 Paul Reed Smith Private Stock #2722 Santana I (Tiger Eye)です。

まず最初に

この杢、そして惑星をバックに飛び立つフクロウ… なんと壮大な一本でしょう。ちなみにこのインレイは14金で縁取られています、なんとまぁ… しかもヘッドにはイーグル、指板にはバードインレイ、そしてのフクロウです。とにかく鳥。鳥好きにはこれしかないでしょうっていうギターです。トップのメイプルの杢もかなり陰影が深くこれぞプライベートストックという仕上がりです、ため息が出るほどに美しい。

 

音はかなりの上品さです。

やはりワンランク違う倍音感と包容力のある音です。ギターってこんなに簡単に音が出るんだ…と思ってしまうくらいの両手の楽さはこの出音とテンション感のおかげでしょう。両ピックアップのバランスの良さも特筆すべき点です。張りがありながらもキンキン感はなく、高い解像度ながら聴き疲れないまろやかさがあります。気がついたらけっこう大きい音で試奏していたスタッフYでありました…それでも全然耳が痛くなりませんでした。

 

ちょっと感動するレベルで良い楽器でした、ルックスも音も最高峰ですよ!!

My pick for today is…

2010 Paul Reed Smith Private Stock #2722 Santana I (Tiger Eye).

 

One disclaimer before we start.
This guitar will not be available for international customers since it has a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.
So, if you’re a customer living outside of Japan who is interested in this guitar, I am very sorry, but you will not be able to bring it back home. I hope you all kindly understand!

I still wanted to share this guitar with you because, well, it’s worth it. Just look at it. This quilted maple top is just astonishing, and that owl flying out to outer space from some planet (or moon maybe?)… incredible. They used 14 carat gold to outline the inlays including the eagle on the headstock and the bird position marks. Birds birds birds. If you’re a bird lover, this one’s for you. Private Stock quality is unbelievable.

Just like its cosmetic features, this guitar has a pretty classy tone. With its rich harmonics that spreads into air, it’s surprising how easy it is to play without making your hands work too hard. The two pickups are very nicely balanced with great clarity. It’s not so bright, and has a creamy tone that doesn’t bang on your ears even in loud volume.
