本日ご紹介するのは
2013 PRS Paul’s Guitar (Copper)

 

このギター、とても幅広い音色が出てくれて、使い勝手がいい一本です。

 

ミニハムバッカーに近い音が出るというのが最初の印象でした。

408Nピックアップのおかげもあってかなり明るい音質でバイトが強く、またpush/pullポットではなく、各ピックアップ用の２つのミニスウィッチによるコイルスプリットの切り替えができるため、冒頭でも述べたようにバリエーションが豊富。

 

それからストップテールピースという仕様ということもあり、PRSらしい伸びやかなサステインがあります。

 

このギターはその演奏性も去ることながら、このルックスもなかなかなものです。

My pick for today is…
2013 PRS Paul’s Guitar (Copper)

 

Here’s a very versatile guitar with a lot of tonal colors in its pocket.

 

My impression was that the sound resembles the mini-humbucker tone.

It’s got a fairly bright treble and a good bite thanks to the 408N pickups, and since you can select coil-splitting for each pickups with the mini-switches instead of a push/pull tone pot, you can get a wide array of sounds on the palette.

 

As you can expect from a PRS, this thing’s got a nice sustain, thanks to the stop tailpiece.

 

This one has a versatile, yet distinct tone.
