本日ご紹介するのは
2014 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1968 Les Paul Custom Japan Limited (Ebony Black)です。

 

レスポールカスタムとしてはとても軽量な4.07kg！

カスタムをライヴなどでガンガン弾きたいけどいかんせん重すぎて使えない！と思っていたそこのあなた。

いいのがありますよ。

 

同様のウェイトレンジのレスポールスタンダードと比べるとやはり少し違いを感じました。

カスタムの方がレスポンスが早く、強く弾けば強く弾いただけちゃんと音も飛び出ていってくれるような感覚です。

従って出音によりパワーを感じます。

 

黄ばんだバインディングなんかも相まってブラックビューティーらしい気品を感じれる一本。

冒頭でも書きましたが、とにかくカスタムは重すぎて諦めかけていた方も多いはず。

これ、本当に実用性高いですよ！

My pick for today is…

2014 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1968 Les Paul Custom Japan Limited (Ebony Black).

 

Here we have a lightweight Les Paul Custom in ’68 specs.

This thing only weighs 8.97lbs, which is about the average weight of a regular Les Paul Standard.

Customs usually weigh a lot more, enough to break your back, so if you’re looking for a Custom that is practically usable for gigs, here it is.

 

I did feel a slight difference from Les Paul Standards in a similar weight range.

This Custom seems to respond faster to your picking, and the notes don’t mellow out even when you dig in on the strings.

You feel more power in the output, and the more you put in, the more you gain.

 

The yellowed binding really add on to the classiness of this Black Beauty.

As I mentioned in the beginning, I think many of us have pretty much given up trying to play one of these rock heavy axes on stage. Heads up y’all, here’s a good one!
