本日ご紹介するのは

2015 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Select 1959 Les Paul Heavily Aged Hand Selected (Bourbon Burst)です。

 

本物のビンテージバーストを一度でも弾いたことがあればその感触と音を忘れることはないでしょう。

実をいうとぼくは割と最近までそれほどレスポールという楽器に縁はありませんでした。

 

それでもここ数年で数本のビンテージも含めたくさんのレスポールに触れる機会があり、いいものを弾いたときの倍音の豊かさや情報量の多さには驚きました。

一度味わってしまうともはや終わりな訳です。

 

今日ご紹介する一本はとてもバーストライクな音がします。

 

3.69kgとなかなかに軽量な分、あのおいしい中域が存分に膨らんでくれ、カスタムバッカーピックアップとの相性もばっちり。

 

クリーンでも歪ませても温かい”ブルーム”感は失われることなく、好みはあるにせよ純粋に「いい音だな」と感嘆してしまいます。

 

ぼく自身が完全に気に入ってしまったので急がないと終いにはぼくが持って帰っちゃいますよ。

My pick for today is…
2015 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Select 1959 Les Paul Heavily Aged Hand Selected (Bourbon Burst).

 

If you’ve ever played a real Burst before, chances are you’re never going to forget the feel and sound of it.

To be honest, I wasn’t a very big fan of Les Pauls until recently, so I’m not going to call myself a die-hard Burst fanatic.

However, over the years I had the opportunity to play a good number of them including some vintage Gold Tops and Bursts, and when you play that thing, it amazes you how sophisticated and detailed the tone is.

When you feel that mojo, you’re pretty much over. You know what I mean.

 

What we have here today felt very close to a Burst.

Lightweight, weighing at 8.13lbs, and has a lot of mid-range flourish, and matches very nicely with the Custombucker pickups’ characteristics.

Clean or driven, the notes have that warm “bloom”, and it just sounds fantastic.

 

I’m in love with this thing, if you don’t hurry, this one might end up in my personal arsenal.
