本日ご紹介するのは

2016年製 Gibson Custom Shop True Historic 1959 Les Paul Aged (Vintage Cherry Sunburst)です。

 

これまたカッコいいレスポールですよ。

若干濃い色味のチェリーサンバーストフィニッシュといい、このフレイムトップといい、まさに王道のルックスといえると思います。

 

3.96kgと重過ぎず軽過ぎず、上質な中域の膨らみと倍音があり弾いていてとても楽しい一本です。ある程度の重量がある分強いタッチで弾いても出音がしっかりと付いてきてくれます。ジューシーです。

 

フロントもリアも倍音だらけ。

牛丼で例えるならツユだくといったところでしょうか。

ドライヴさせてもうねりは増すばかりでこの音にずっと漬かっていたくなります。

 

サステインの鳴り方もとても気持ちがいい。

ただポーンと直線的に伸びて終わりなのではなく、アタックの後から膨らんでいくのでロングトーン一発でこの楽器の良さがお分かり頂けると思います。

まさに多くの方がヴィンテージスタイルのバーストに求める部分なのではないでしょうか？

My pick for today is…

2016 Gibson Custom Shop True Historic 1959 Les Paul Aged (Vintage Cherry Sunburst).

 

Here’s another good-looking Les Paul.

This might just be how a Les Paul should look like.

The maple top has a killer flame and the slightly dark tone of the Vintage Cherry Sunburst is just right.

 

Weighing just around 8.7 lbs, it’s got a great airiness and blooming midrange that makes it a very fun guitar to play. Dig in on the strings, and plenty of juice pours out.

I love this thing.

 

Both bridge and neck positions are drenched in harmonics, and when you kick in some overdrive, the midrange just blooms even more.

 

The sustain doesn’t just ring. It’s not a line drive to centerfield that ends the inning.

There’s a swell in the harmonics that follows the attack which feels very nice. Just what you might look for in a vintage style ‘Burst right?
