Fender Custom Shop 2011 1953 Telecaster Heavy Relic

This is a 1953 Telecaster Heavy Relic model with a black pickguard and a Nocaster blonde finish.

Following the 1953 specifications, the screws used to fix the pickguard were changed from flat head to Phillips head. The heavy relic process recreates the damage such as peeling paint to give it a vintage look.

The neck has a '57 Soft V-shape and the fingerboard has a 9.5 radius with 6105 Narrow-tall type frets.

The pickups are Vintage-Design 1950s Telecaster and the pickup selector is wired with current wiring.

The nut has been replaced.

The frets have been rubbed together, leaving about 70% remaining. The neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
